As well as receiving anonymous information about crime and suspicious activity, we contribute to a safer Tasmania with public safety and awareness campaigns.
We work with Crime Stoppers organisations across Australia, the media, law enforcement agencies and community organisations, to target particular issues and illegal activities. Explore our work for more info.
Part of something bigger
Each state and territory of Australia has a Crime Stoppers program, and all are members of Crime Stoppers Australia. The national organisation coordinates national appeals and programs and is particularly important for cross-border crimes including illegal drug manufacture, importation and distribution.
What we don’t do
There are some things we can’t do, including:
- provide legal advice
- provide feedback about individual investigations
- investigate what you tell us
- take reports ‘over-the-counter’.
