Crime Stoppers Tasmania’s impact grows in 2023.

During 2023, Tasmanians helped support a safer Tasmania through Crime Stoppers, enabling us to grow our impact and support policing.

Crime Stoppers exists to enable and encourage people to provide crime related information safely and anonymously. We achieve this by being the conduit between the community and law enforcement.

Together we have achieved:

  • An average twenty community contacts a day, with an 11% increase in number of contacts to the previous year.
  • A 30% contribution to Tasmania Police intelligence.
  • Over 85% of our community reports are received online.
  • 52% increase in number of Police Information Reports provided to police.
  • 95% community awareness of Crime Stoppers when prompted.
  • Many crimes solved or prevented due to Crime Stoppers tips.

Thank you Tasmania, for playing your part and supporting a safer Tasmania!
