Stop the trafficking. Stop the harm.
This year’s Crime Stoppers Week aims to raise public awareness about the organised trafficking of illicit drugs and illegal firearms, highlight the severe impact on communities, and motivate people to share information – even the smallest tip – anonymously with Crime Stoppers Tasmania to help disrupt these networks.
Too many lives are being lost. Too many families are being destroyed. And too many traffickers think it’s acceptable to deal and destroy. With community help, we can disrupt organised crime and reduce harm.
The latest National Wastewater Drug Monitoring Report shows Tasmanian consumption of the four major illicit drugs – Ice, cocaine, ecstasy and heroin – has increased by 50% in the past year, far higher than the 34% national rise.
Crime Stoppers is a safe, anonymous way to share information, and if a tip leads to arrests or charges, the tipster may be eligible for a reward.
When you contact Crime Stoppers, your information goes directly into the hands of people who can do something about it – police investigators who know what to look for, how to follow up, and how to take action.
